all was golden when the day met the night

Once upon a time, a great hero appeared just as humanity needed him. Ten suns appeared in the sky, and the world began to burn under their heat and light. But a noble Archer came and with his bow shot nine of the suns from the sky, leaving one behind to warm the earth below. The Archer had one great love, but sadly, his love drank an elixir and floated away into the sky. The Archer tried to shoot his love down, but his arrow missed, and the moon remained in the sky.
The last item is a set of nesting dolls. Your father, the sun. Wenzhou, the archer. You, the moon. The tale of a son who was fated to destroy the world for a father, destroy the one he loved. You clean them, and you wipe away the grime, and you see that instead they are faceless, unfamiliar. They depict a story that isn't yours. You are not a prince or a god. You are a person. You do not have a great destiny. You will not save or end the world. Your pain is not gone, but it is also not going to destroy anything besides yourself and the people who love you, and that, at least, you have a say in.
